With the ever increasing demand for energy, the amount of frac sand for the oil and gas industry has increased dramatically. CFS built many of the late 1970’s and early 1980’s plants for 20 x 40 and 30 x 50 mesh frac sands. We are now building some of the largest frac sand plants in the U.S. for this increased demand. With the development of new technologies and drilling techniques, frac sand has new and expanded uses in natural gas. New fine grades of sand include 40 x 70 mesh and 70 x 140 mesh. CFS uses the Density Separator to make accurate separations at 40, 50, 70 or 100 mesh. Each plant and property is a unique challenge and is a custom design/flowsheet based upon the requirement for the sand to pass tight API specifications.
When it comes to achieving Maximum Recovery, Minimum Waste and Ease of Producing specification product, the CFS Density Separator Frac Sand Plant has a proven track record for making frac and proppant sands.
Proven technology and design for many of the who’s who in industrial sand production, CFS has designed more than twenty major frac sand plants in the United States and Canada.
Typical Design Includes:
Primary sizing screen at 8 or 20 mesh
Slurry pumps and sumps
Attrition scrubbers
– For contaminated/cemented particles
– Improve API crush test
Cyclones
– Deslime and wash
– 140-200 mesh sizing
CFS Density Separators
– Unexcelled sizing accuracy at
40, 50, 70 or 100 mesh (adjustable)
Dewatering screen
– High percent solids to dryer plant
